Dear Golfer,
Under the latest guidelines from the Empire State Development (ESD), it has been confirmed that the operation of a golf course/facility or driving range has been deemed as an essential business.
The latest message from the North Eastern New York PGA states:
“The ESD revised the verbiage that relates to golf. Previously in the ESD Guidance, employees/staff of golf were listed as non essential and limited to only security duties. The new guidance, although general in nature removes those restrictions and confirms the operation of a golf course/driving range as an essential business.”
With the restrictions removed for golf staff, Dave will now be scheduling lessons. Given the state of the pandemic, Dave will be following these safe practices:
1- Maintaining Social Distance of 6 feet at all times. Social distance of 10 feet if it is windy.
2- No touching/sharing equipment
3- Use of sanitizer and wipes at all times.
4- Golfers will be asked to tee up their own golf balls.
5- At the conclusion of each lesson, Dave’s equipment will be sanitized.
6- If you are not feeling well, it is asked that you reschedule your lesson.
The safe practices listed are set forth to meet the requirement that essential businesses maintain a clean and safe work environment and maintain social distancing to the fullest extent possible. Dave is excited to cautiously reopen, and is looking forward to seeing you soon! |
