Week 2 Newsletter
ATTENTION SLICERS!
Problem: During the last newsletter we established that the reason why a golfer slices the ball is that their clubface is open to their swing path at impact.
Try: Getting to the top of your back-swing with a flat left wrist (for right handed player). Practice the position below in front of a mirror.
Why: Many slicers of the ball have the clubface in an open position at the top of their swing. Assuming you have good grip fundamentals, a flat wrist will keep the clubface square at the top of your swing. If your clubface is square at the top of your swing, you will have a much better chance at squaring the clubface through the hitting area which will encourage a straighter ball flight.
3 REASONS TO CONSIDER A FLAT WRIST AT THE TOP OF YOUR SWING:
1) Jordan Spieth
2) Adam Scott
3) Tiger Woods
All three golfers are major champions.
