Building Positive Momentum

Building Positive Momentum Working on the mental aspect of your golf game is equally as important as improving your swing mechanics or fitness level. A critical aspect of a sound mental approach is taking time to focus upon the success you have had in the game. It is very typical for golfers to spend a considerable amount of time thinking about their disappointments, and very little time remembering any success that they have had. This can zap any golfer of motivation and confidence. Try: Allow time each day to remember your best shots, and or rounds that you have had. Memories are strongest when we attach strong emotions to an event. So, take time to vividly remember exactly how great it felt to hit that flush 7 iron on the driving range, or how you hit that clutch drive down the middle on the last hole during an important round of golf. Why: Regardless of how big or small your successes have been in the game of golf, building a long term memory of the good things you have experienced will help to you keep you on track as you improve. Focusing on your successes will breed confidence, motivation, and enthusiasm, which are three huge contributors to helping you reach your goals as a golfer. * Meet With Dave This Winter In Florida! * Newly Available At: Abacoa Golf Club, Jupiter, FL The Golf Crypt, Jupiter, FL * Easy, Convenient And Effective – Start Your Training Today! * * Live Online Lessons Also Available – Contact Dave For Details! * |
