“When you are trying to improve, the most important thing is to always have a plan.”
– Hank Haney

Changing any part of your swing is not always going to feel comfortable or natural because it is different. In order to move through a swing change successfully, it is paramount that a golfer has the right plan combined with a focused mindset and practice techniques to conquer the changes.

Here Are A Couple Of Tricks:

Spend time each day focusing on the new positions in your swing that you are working to make natural.  You can practice by making slow motion swings with or without a ball, or even try practicing in front of a mirror at home.  If you can, capture yourself on video performing your new swing successfully. Watch it over and over again, so it becomes the dominant image in your mind for how you would like to swing the club.

The Result:

The power of a focused mindset combined with a dedication to proper repetition is a wonderful recipe for success. When you take time each day to both see and feel what you would like to have happen in your new swing, the changes will move along quickly.
