“Go with your natural shot shape whenever possible.”  – Tom Watson

Problem: Do you tend to find yourself in the midst of a round fighting a tee ball that is consistently curving too much to the left or right?  Sometimes a quick adjustment in your basic fundamentals can calm down a ball flight that is curving more than you would like, and other times these issues need to be dealt with on the driving range.  During these times when a quick adjustment won’t work, you need every bit of help you can get to keep the ball in play so you can still score your best.

Try: Using the tee box to give you more room to get your drive in play off the tee:

If you are curving the ball from right to left, setup on the on the left side of the tee box.  Then aim down the right side to allow room for the ball to curve left.

If you are curving the ball from left to right, setup on the right side of the tee box. Then aim down the left side to allow room for the ball to curve to the right.

Why: This approach will maximize the amount of room you will have to keep your ball in play off the tee.
